Game Nights: Since March 2006, Game Night has developed into a monthly gathering on a Saturday night. Our games nights are geared towards members interacting with each other and promoting everyone to socialize. *Our attendance to any Game Night is around 50 to 60 members.
Meet and Greet Nights: Alternates with monthly Game Nights. No game (ice breaker) will be played. Each gathering now has between 40 and 60 guys in attendance. *Our largest party in April, 2007 was attended by over 225 members.
*NOTE: All parties are Bring Your Own Food and Drink.
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
Monday: Anusara Yoga Class @ 8:00pm
Tuesday: Anusara Yoga Class @ 7:00pm
Thursday: Meditation Sessions with Dr. Mike Dow @ 8:00pm
*Clinical Study shows practice of Mindfulness Meditation slows the progression of HIV
Saturday Morning: Runyon Canyon Hike (weather permitting)
Other Types of Events we organized:
During the summer months, we have hosted Pool Parties, BBQs, and outdoor Movie Screenings. Our largest attendance at a pool party was over 100 guys.
We have organized an evening out at a local Comedy Club for any group member interested in joining us for a fun night out. We have organized Spanish Lessons, cooking classes, and a monthly dining out evening. We have even hosted a Halloween Costume Party. We have also hosted Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day Pot-Luck Dinner for those without family close by.
Annual Holiday Party and Gift Drive: Each year at our holiday party we organize a Toys for Teens Drive. Our focus is to collect items for Adolescent and Teenage boys affected by or infected with HIV/AIDS.
*Movie Nights are in a private home.
Possible Future Activities include: Beach Day (Picnic and Volleyball), Weekend Retreat, Trip to the Getty, Trip to Griffin Park Observatory for the Planetary Show, Hollywood Forever Cemetery Screenings, Art Gallery Shows, Theater Productions, Hollywood Bowl Nights and Bowling.
